How to Rank Instagram Stories On Explore Page

Today we’re going to be talking about how you guys can rank your Instagram stories on the Explorer page. If you didn’t know Instagram recently announced this new feature where now stories are being featured on the Explorer page. This gives us an opportunity to gain additional traffic, additional traffic to our profile using stories.

So in this article, we’re going to be talking at how you actually rank your Instagram stories on the Explorer page. We’re going to be share at six steps or so that you need to implement in order to make this happen.

Step Number One

You need to understand your audience. Now, what I mean by understanding your audience. Well, basically, you need to know who your audience is and what type of content they engage with. And chances are you’ve been on Instagram for a while. You posted the content that has gone viral, posted content that hasn’t gone viral. So chances are that you have a pretty good understanding of who your audience is and what type of content they truly engage with. So as long as you have an understanding of your audience, the more content they engage with. You pretty much have this step unlocked. But what you guys need to keep in mind is that what content people engage with on the story is very different from the type of content people engage with on the news feed.

And if you are a primarily successful type of content on the stories or videos of yourself, you’re maybe a maybe you’re a personal brand. Doesn’t matter. But if the type of content that’s really doing well for your stories or videos of you talking of you being personal, then that is not the type of content you need to be posting to rank on stories. That’s not the type of content that’s going to allow you to rank. So what I’m getting at here is what type of content is racketball on the Instagram explore page when it comes to stories?

This also involves you analyzing what content is ranking on the Explorer page in your niche. What type of content is being posted? And that’s doing well on stories on the Explorer page. But also you need to know what type of content you think your audience would engage with. And so it’s more so a combination or where the similar type of content that you post on your news feed. That’s the type of content we want to be focusing on here because that’s the typical type of content that’s going to be ranking on the Explorer pages, while not so much of videos of you talking. But more so videos or content that already is performing well on your newsfeeds.

Step Number Two

Which is using stickers, basically making our audience engage with our stories. Now, how do we do this? It’s pretty simple. You use all the features that basically allow your audience to interact with your story. And we’ve got so many. We’ve got the pole. We’ve got the slider feature. We’ve got the question where they can ask a question. We’ve got the right versus wrong, where you ask your audience a question and they choose, which they think is the correct answer. We’ve got the one where you can start a chat with your audience. There are so many of these features that allow your audience to interact with your stories.

And so these are the key features that you want to be used on all of your stories to create those interactions. Now, I want to show you guys how I’m using these myself because it’s not so much about just using them. It’s also about using them the right way. And so, for example, the pole. This is how, for example, you started that about one in one of my recent stories just. Are you happy? Yes. Not yet. And people just bought it. This one is fairly simple. Then the next one is when you ask your audience a question and you want to make it personal.

And so this is what I did for that story. That I recently posted. Just asked my audience if they got any questions about business slash lifestyle, because that typically is what my audience wonder about like or how the rickey traveling all over the world 24/7, like people, are curious to know or how did you start your business, et cetera, et cetera. That’s the kind of thing I know my audience wants to know. And so that’s the kind of frame I’m putting in. I’m allowing them to ask me questions regarding that. And this is a very interactive way of creating your stories. But also the slider one is really effective if you know how to use it. So this is the story I posted with a slider. Now, I want you guys to take a look at how I’m using this slider. I’m not just like allowing them to slide with a heart emojis and then just slide in there.

So there’s no they don’t know what they’re sliding for, basically. But in this one in this one particularly, I’m basically asking them a question. How many hours are you working every single day? And they can slide. If they slide slightly, they’re choosing two hours. If they’re sliding more, they’re choosing five hours. If they’re sliding more. So basically making them interact in a specific way on the slider feature in this interaction as well is more powerful because they’re being more specific with what they’re sliding for.

An Instagram looks at this, look at all the frickin data, all the ways your audience interact with your stories. That’s determining your success in ranking on the Expo page or not. And so I just think it’s really cool, like doing it this way, using the slider feature. This way I found it to work really, really well. And so, yeah, it’s just time for you guys to use.

Step Number Three

You don’t want to be using hashtags on your stories? I recommend using between 10 and 15. Hashtags on your stories. Now, when you’re using the hashtags on your stories, obviously you want to be zooming in on that. So I’m going to screen share right here in a second, and I’m going to show you guys what I mean by that. So I just took this beautiful picture of myself and the way you use your hashtags is basically just put in the hashtag. And then you just click done. And then you would just zoom in on them just like that. So you just zooming in until you can’t see them.

So just put them in front of the white thing right here. And then, boom, you’ve got your hashtags and the story. You can’t see them, but people are still able to find your content through hashtags because you’re still using hashtags. You just can’t see them. Now, the reason we want to be using hashtags on our stories to rank on the Explorer is that we want more engagement on our stories, engagement, and abuse as one of the key factors to ranking on the export page with stories. And so we want to do all that we can to boost that engagement. And so using hashtags makes us able to rank in hashtags where their stories and getting more views from their getting more interactions and engagement from there and then help us rank in stories. And so that is the reason we’re using hashtags on our stories.

Step Number Four

You also want to be using location tags. Now, again, this comes back to the same reason we’re using hashtags where we’re where you want to be using location tags. And that is because we want more engagement in our stories. We want to we want everyone to share stories. More of use to the stories creates more engagement. And so, again, using locations, tags. Pretty simple. You just add your location by the bombast of anger. Norway, that’s where I’m in right now. And just do that. And you got your location in the story.

Now, one thing, when it comes to using stories, something that I found to work better is using more specific locations on the stories. Don’t use the broadest location, like for me using Norway right now. It’s not going to perform that well compared to me using, for example, Stavanger in Norway or even go on even more specific use and maybe a restaurant in my local area.

If I’m at that restaurant, I want to be using that specific restaurant because specific locations, especially specific locations people actually go to, are working much, much better. So if you’re in a restaurant and you’re doing a story where if you’re somewhere where people tend to go use that specific location in the story. And that doesn’t mean that you have to be eating food in that story to use the restaurant location tag. It just might. My point is just to use more specific locations because that’s what people look at those more specific locations on the stories. So and then finally,

Step Number Five

You want to be consistent. You want to be posting three stories a day consistently. Now, what, you want to do this? Well. If you’ve never posted a story before, your audience is not going to use it to you posting stories. So your views are going to be very low on those stories. The more stories you post, the more frequently the more overall news you’re going to have on your stories because your audience is expecting to see your stories.

They’ve seen them before. They’ve got them. They’re being ranked pushed to the top left in their story basically ranking pattern. So Instagram knows that. OK. This guy’s posting stories this audience liked and engaged with his stories before. We’re going to show them more. So your overall views on your stories are going to be much higher if you’re using them consistently on a frequent basis. And so that’s why the consistency comes in as well. And three stories as well.

The more stories you post, the more chances you have of ranking on the explore page export page patients. So using more stories, stories more often as well. Really powerful. At the same time, you want to use variations on the stories. This is something completely native to stories, but you want to be using different like taking different angles on the stories, experimenting with different types of content. But you’ve got to be consistent and you got to post frequently for all of this to work because the reason we’re doing this is like the reason we’re doing all of this. Everything that I mentioned above is because of three things.

Final Word

Firstly, all of this that we’re doing all these five steps is helping with the overall total use you have on your stories specifically to video the amount of the length of that story is more powerful. If somebody used a story for fifteen seconds, it’s better than if somebody used the stories for three a story for three seconds, obviously. And so all of this is helping with people, viewing the story for longer. Second of all, it’s helping with basically just overall views on the story. Just eyeballs on the story. Total abuse, not total viewed time, but total views. And thirdly, it’s helping with interactions, total interactions on the story, and these three things right there.

So the key to ranking your stories on the export pitch, if you can have all of these maximized, if you’re doing really well on all of these, you’re going to have your stories ranked on the Explorer page. And so that is pretty much and that’s pretty much the key ranking your stories on the poor page. And yeah, if you guys enjoyed this video, smash that like button help out the community. Yeah.
